Franciacorta and Lombardy in the spotlight at the Concours Mondial De Bruxelles

It is Franciacorta that garnered the best results at the Concours Mondial De Bruxelles in the section reserved for effervescent wines. About a thousand wines at the competition, with 50 international jurors engaged in an evaluation session in Agerola, Campania.

With two-thirds of the wines awarded, Lombardy is the most awarded Italian producer. Fratus’ Cu-vée Satén Millesimato, an organic, 100 percent Chardonnay wine, takes home the Revela-tion Trophy for 2023.

Campania, the region that hosted the session, also managed to dis-tinguish itself with the Falanghina and Penisola Sorrentina appellations, obtaining 4 Gold and 5 Silver medals.
