A pre-collection, the F/W 2022-23 one, that moves away from the iconography of Cavalli expanding the brand’s aesthetic towards other boundaries as shown by the Scottish shirt with layered and gathered sleeves reminiscent of folkloric dresses.
Inevitable, on the other hand, are the petticoat dresses in animal prints, while dresses with cuts loved by American stars, first and foremost Jennifer Lopez, a great friend of Fausto Puglisi, dominate the scene. Much discussed and much appreciated, during Puglisi’s appearance at Art Basel in Miami, was the men’s shirt featuring a print of an evil pinup with devil horns. Puglisi stated that the autumn collection, which will be on the catwalk next February, will continue to push Cavalli’s dialectic beyond its current frontiers, pushing it into new territories.
