Florence’s Chic Nonna changes name

ATTO DI VITO MOLLICA” will be the new name of Michelin-starred Chef Vito Mollica‘s restaurant, which as of today becomes the owner of Mine Lifestyle Firenze Srl, the company that manages the catering at Palazzo Portinari Salviati in Florence. Chef Vito Mollica continues his “journey” in culinary excellence by choosing a naming that reflects his growth and continued commitment to offering his customers impeccable hospitality and authentic flavors. ATTO DI VITO MOLLICA is a name rich in meaning. Each dish for the Chef is an ACT of love, a gesture that conveys passion, dedication and creativity. The experience of each guest is conceived as a theatrical ACT, from beginning to end, the culinary journey unfolds like a work that slowly reveals itself to the eyes of the diners.

And just like any art form, Vito Mollica’s cuisine is designed to express and arouse feelings and emotions. ACT also wants to represent an ACT of respect towards the land and towards the raw materials and ingredients used in the dishes; respect towards suppliers, preferring and protecting local ones, thus enhancing the territory. An ACT of respect towards collaborators and towards tradition itself, a fundamental element in the Chef’s quest. A journey that unfolds within the walls of the restaurant, gradually revealing a web of flavors and emotions. Palazzo Portinari Salviati remains the prestigious “stage” where every detail is meticulously orchestrated to enchant. Just as the food and wine proposal does not change, which remains faithful to the conception of seasonal menus with a traditional imprint but international flavor, always and exclusively made with raw materials of exceptional quality.

In addition to the fine dining proposal, the offerings of Salotto Portinari Bistrot and Eye Cocktail Bar also remain unchanged, three distinct situations within a multisensory itinerary, open from morning until late at night, characterized by a constant dialogue between past and present, where the absolute value artistic works of the Florentine Renaissance coexist with design and where the gastronomic proposal adapts to the multiple needs of Florentines and tourists. Accompanying Vito Mollica in this project remains the same brigade and dining staff that sees Food & Beverage Manager David Bonissone and the two Restaurant Chefs, Rosario Bernardo and Paolo Acunto, at his side. The team also includes Elena Visconti, Event Manager, Denis Giuliani and Lorenzo Baroni as Salotto Portinari Bar & Bistrot Managers, Mark Ignatov and Davide Altobelli as ATTO Managers, and Clizia Zuin as Sommelier. “I am really happy and excited,” says Chef Vito Mollica, “to embark on this new path. It is a dream come true for me, and it would not have been possible without the constant and valuable efforts of my entire team, who believed in this ambitious project from day one. I wish the best successes,” Vito Mollica concludes, “to Chic Nonna and Mine & Yours, realities with which I have achieved important goals.” Chic Nonna will remain a brand owned by the Mine & Yours group, an Italian group active in the hospitality and catering sector already present in Dubai, with planned openings in the main international marketplaces.
