“El diseño italiano a pie de calle”

Following last year’s success, the Italian Embassy in Madrid, in collaboration with the ICE office, has launched the second edition of the project to promote Italian design on Spanish streets called “El Diseño italiano a pie de calle“, a public-private partnership campaign that brings Italian Design Day (IDD), scheduled this year for March 18, to Spanish streets in collaboration with retailers of Italian products. The goal is twofold: to give greater visibility to Italian Design Day, reaching a wider audience, and to support Made in Italy. The initiative, launched in anticipation of the Salone del Mobile in Milan (April 16 – 21), focuses on public and private synergies in promoting Made in Italy.

The campaign is part of a series of events aimed at promoting Italian excellence in the field of design, such as the exhibition “Mimetica – Ceramic Reflections and Refractions” at the Italian Cultural Institute in Madrid (Feb. 10 – March 2), the second stop in Spain of the exhibition on Italian industrial design called “Created in Italy” (Feb. 26 – April 1), currently on display at the Grimaldi Lines terminal at the port of Barcelona and previously set up at the Central del Diseño del Matadero in Madrid, the celebration of IDD, for the first time also in the principality of Andorra (March 15), and the setting up of an Italy space for the third consecutive time at Casa Decor (April 11 – May 26).
