‘Talent for the shoe’ winner is from Turin

The Talent for the Shoe 2023 comes from Turin. His name is Luca Alessio, he is 28 years old, a graduate of the Institute of Art, and his work on footwear was judged the best out of the 86 participants from all over the world (Italy, Mexico, Indonesia, India, Tunisia, Argentina, Brazil, Israel, Kenya, Morocco, USA, Venezuela) at the 23rd edition of ‘A Talent for the Shoe,’ an international competition for young designers organized in San Mauro Pascoli.

This was determined by the footwear companies of Sammauroindustria (CBR Tacstile, Giuseppe Zanotti, Pollini, Sergio Rossi) together with the Cercal school. This is the motivation for the award to Alessio: “The essence of the great master’s values of style and elegance for a refined and seductive collection.” The master mentioned is the great fashion designer Sergio Rossi to whom the contest edition was dedicated (“The Invention of Shape. Dedicated to Sergio Rossi,” the title).

The podium of the competition saw Asia Sarpieri 24 years old from San Mauro Pascoli in second place and Elisa Castiglioni 24 years old from Rimini in third place. The special prize ‘A Talent for the Heel’ offered by the CBR Tacstile company went to Linda Spinelli, 24 from Savignano sul Rubicone, who presented a collection entitled “Scacco tacco.” This was the motivation: ‘For the most original heel and consistent with the theme.’
