Italian Design Day returns to over 100 countries around the world on Thursday 9 March

The seventh edition of the event created in 2017 to promote the Italian project and design system abroad is dedicated to the theme “La qualità che illumina – L’energia del design per le persone e per l’ambiente”, and is promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation – Directorate General for the promotion of the country system, realized thanks to the contribution of the Ministry of Culture – Directorate General for Contemporary Creativity and is held in collaboration with ADI, Fondazione ADI, ITA Italian Trade Agency, Triennale Milano, Salone del Mobile Milano and Federlegno Arredo.

Involving 110 branches of the MAECI network abroad, Italian Design Day brings the quality of Italian design to the world through exhibitions, meetings, presentations of objects and projects, competitions and seminars organized by the diplomatic-consular network, the Italian Cultural Institutes and ICE Offices. In this setting, 97 of the most well-known and qualified professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs, and specialized journalists will share their experiences and knowledge with the public, bringing out the distinctive and original features that make Italian design appreciated and recognized on all continents. All the events will open with an introductory video created by Studio Azzurro especially for Italian Design Day 2023 and will end with an invitation video to the next Salone del Mobile.
