FORMA lights up La Nuvola: Rome celebrates young fashion talents

In Rome, on March 21 and 22, 2025, the Nuvola convention center in EUR hosted the first edition of FORMA – Perspectives on Fashion, Art and Creativity, a festival entirely dedicated to the students of Rome’s Fashion Academies. The event was a great success, turning the iconic venue into a vibrant hub of style, innovation, and creative vision.

Promoted by Rome’s City Council and the Lazio Region, FORMA brought together—for the first time—all of the city’s fashion academies, creating two days filled with talks, exhibitions, artistic performances, and live showcases. At the heart of it all were the students: hundreds of emerging talents who presented their ideas, collections, and projects in direct dialogue with industry experts and professionals.

The festival also shone a spotlight on current topics such as sustainability, green materials, technological innovation, and the interplay between fashion, art, cinema, and music.

The highlight of the event was the special appearance of Domenico Dolce, who met with students on the final day, sharing insights, advice, and motivation for building a future in fashion. In his keynote, Dolce delivered a powerful message: believe in the strength of Made in Italy—in its artisanal heritage, in the quality of its craftsmanship, and in the cultural identity that sets Italian fashion apart on the global stage.

With FORMA, Rome reaffirms itself not only as a capital of history and beauty, but also as a center of creative education and a launchpad for the new generation of fashion innovators.
