On September 7, Villa Emaldi in Faenza becomes the stage for FONDAMENTA, the first in a series of events bringing pilates, grounding practices, and sensory experiences to historic estates. Conceived by Equilibrio Pilates®—a center founded in 2005 in Imola by Filippo Ravaglia—and crafted with the creative direction of Studio Babai, FONDAMENTA invites participants to pause, reconnecting with body and space through a dialogue between mindful movement and architecture.

Set in the elegant Villa Emaldi, an eclectic 1876 residence surrounded by a centuries-old park of cedars and exotic species, the event offers five perceptual itineraries across indoor and outdoor spaces: The Olfactory Corridor, where lush grasses and suspended vegetal nests awaken foot sensitivity; The Inner Meadow, with visual landscapes and ASMR soundscapes syncing body and mind; The Room of Infinite Reflections, where reflective surfaces challenge focus; The Bamboo Forest, a tactile immersion in a natural cathedral; and The Hilltop Path, a barefoot journey to the estate’s hilltop summit.
Studio Babai’s installations enhance the experience with organic vegetal sculptures, suspended design objects, and beauty corners blending with the villa’s pastel tones. Two Natural Design Bars will serve fresh juices, infusions, and natural dishes, while the event concludes with an Elegant Picnic with Oneself: a mirrored box containing edible sculptures, botanical mocktails, and refined details, reinterpreting the opulence of historic estates in a minimalist, intimate way.
FONDAMENTA is a contemporary ritual celebrating the body as a starting point and architecture as an active partner, awakening plantar intelligence and grounding participants in a transformative experience of wellness, nature, and beauty.
