In the newly renovated ‘Sala Paganini’, the flagship of the 5-star hotel in Genoa, the partnership between the Hotel Bristol Palace and the Paganini Prize will be officially presented on Wednesday 27th November, with a view to the 58th edition of the competition, to be held in Genoa from 14th to 26th October 2025.
At the heart of the agreement, which will be formalised shortly, is the provision of the ‘Premio Speciale Hotel Bristol Palace – Duetorrihotels Collection’, to be awarded by the International Jury chaired by Uto Ughi for the best chamber music performance. The hotel thus confirms its long-standing links with the cultural life of the city and renews its closeness to the Genoa Competition, which this year celebrates the 70th anniversary of its first edition. A newly renovated room, the “Sala Paganini”, will also be officially inaugurated: a new “ballroom” that recalls the era when Bristol Palace was a privileged venue for cultural and convivial gatherings of international society in the early 1900s.

This room, with its elegant yet hi-tech charm, will be the venue for the screening of the video dedicated to the 2025 edition of the Prize. In the same room, Jingzhi Zhang, the runner-up in the 2023 competition, fresh from highly acclaimed performances in Europe, Asia and America, will give a concert of pieces by Bach – the Largo and Allegro from Sonata No. 3 in C Major BWV 1005 – and Niccolò Paganini’s Capricci No. 1, No. 11, No. 5. During the event, there will be speeches by the Artistic Director of the Prize, Nicola Bruzzo, and the City Councillor for International Relations and the Paganini Prize, Barbara Grosso. The President of the Prize, Giovanni Panebianco, will close the event.
