The number 51 Ferrari 499P won the centennial edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. At the wheel of the 499P were Italians Alessandro Pier Guidi and Antonio Giovinazzi, as well as Briton James Calado. Ferrari returned to race the prestigious endurance race after a 50-year absence, while a success had been missing for as long as 58. With this victory the Prancing Horse of Maranello ends the hegemony of Toyota, which has dominated the Bugatti circuit for the past five years.
