Some brands transcend their logos to become chapters in our collective history, defining clear “before and after” moments in people’s imaginations. Valtur, with its 50-year legacy of revolutionary travel storytelling, has now been officially certified as a Historic Brand of National Interest by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy – placing it alongside icons like Alessi and Ducati as a shaper of Italy’s vacation culture. The Nicolaus Group, which in 2018 made Valtur the cornerstone of its luxury hospitality strategy, sees this accolade as crowning a journey built on consistent values, visionary storytelling, and an uncanny ability to anticipate travelers’ desires. “We discovered with awe that our recent campaigns were natural evolutions of the brand’s DNA,” reveals Sara Prontera, Nicolaus Marketing Director, highlighting how Valtur preserved its identity through five decades of social change.

This recognition required brand archaeology: hundreds of artifacts – from 1970s brochures to campaigns featuring Schiaparelli pink, from the legendary “Finally” slogan to vintage photos with entertainer Fiorello – mapped the evolution of an icon that turned Italian lifestyle into its trademark. Today, as Valtur reinvents itself with projects like the Cristallo Ski Resort in Cervinia or Brindisi Basketball sponsorship, the historic certification isn’t an endpoint but a springboard. “We’re just beginning a new chapter,” declares President Roberto Pagliara, eyes already on future horizons. Because if Valtur taught us one lesson, it’s that true legends don’t belong to the past – they’re the ones still writing our present.
