OOO – Out of Order® and Pisa 1940: A Fusion of Unconventional Design and Horological Heritage

Two Italian icons join forces to redefine the customer experience in the world of watchmaking. OOO – Out of Order®, the Venetian brand founded in 2013 and renowned for its rebellious design approach, and Pisa 1940, Milan’s historic landmark in high-end watchmaking and jewelry, announce an exclusive collaboration. Customers who entrust their watches to Pisa 1940 for servicing will receive a temporary OOO – Out of Order® timepiece, crafted specifically for this partnership—a unique blend of vintage style, innovation, and the brand’s signature “Damaged in Italy” touch. The collaboration model embodies the essence of both brands. The 40mm stainless steel 316L case features OOO®’s patented aging process, while the unidirectional brushed aluminum bezel is enhanced with SuperLuminova C3 inserts. At its heart lies the Seiko NH35 automatic movement, paired with a stabilized rust dial—another OOO® patent—with luminescent indices and a date window at 3 o’clock.

Adding to its uniqueness, the dial omits logos, replaced by the “Not for sale” inscription in SuperLuminova C3 at 6 o’clock. The closed caseback showcases the collaboration’s engraved signature, while the inner ring bears the mantra “Please, treat me bad”, nodding to OOO®’s “Damaged in Italy” ethos. A soft, pre-aged leather strap completes the design. «This collaboration with Pisa 1940 is a source of great pride», stated Riccardo Torrisi, co-founder of OOO – Out of Order®. «We designed a bold watch that reflects our shared values: attention to detail, uncompromising quality, and uniqueness. Every element speaks to breaking conventions while honoring craftsmanship». Chiara Pisa, CEO of Pisa 1940, added: «Technical care is in our DNA. With this service, we aim to elevate the customer experience by offering not just a courtesy item, but a style icon to wear with ease during the wait». This initiative transforms a routine pause into an opportunity to embrace Italian design audacity, proving how heritage and nonconformity can coexist in a single timepiece.
