The Balsamic Vinegar of Modena IGP is once again the protagonist of the 2023 edition of My Selection, the premium line of McDonald’s created to enhance the quality and the link with the territory of Italian PDO and PGI products, selected by Joe Bastianich and including “My Selection BBQ, My Selection Chicken Avocado & Bacon and My Selection Speck & Asiago”.
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI, of which McDonald’s estimates to buy 12 tons, is the protagonist of the tasty “My Selection BBQ”, confirmed for the fifth time in the My Selection platform and available in over 670 restaurants all over Italy, a tasty recipe with 100% beef from Italian farms, coleslaw – cabbage and carrot salad – and BBQ sauce prepared with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena PGI.
Three sandwiches with which McDonald’s confirms its close ties with the Italian food industry and its commitment to promoting the knowledge and diffusion of PDO and PGI Made in Italy products, also thanks to its collaboration with the Qualivita Foundation, which has been working for over 20 years to promote products with geographical indications.
A collaboration aimed at creating in more and more people, especially young people, a real food culture, through the careful and conscious awareness of the importance of the quality of Italian raw materials, and which has brought to the trays of McDonald’s customers 18 PDO and PGI certified ingredients, included in 43 recipes, for a total of 4,600 tons of raw materials used.
