Maker Faire Rome 2025: innovation you can experience first-hand

“Maker Faire Rome – The European Edition” returns to the capital, the great celebration of innovation promoted by the Rome Chamber of Commerce and organized by Innova Camera. From October 17 to 19, 2025, the Gazometro Ostiense will host more than 380 stands and an ecosystem that connects companies, startups, schools, universities, and research centers.

Three thematic areas guide the visitor experience — Innovation, Creativity, Discovery — for a truly hands-on journey through robotics and AI, digital manufacturing and IoT, circular economy and agritech, big data, AR/VR, and the metaverse.

At its core are the values that have made Maker Faire a unique European platform: accessibility and outreach, open innovation and cross-contamination, learning and training. As Lorenzo Tagliavanti, President of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, points out, the event is a driver of co-design and matchmaking across different worlds; according to Luciano Mocci (Innova Camera), the 2025 edition doubles down on digital and ecological transition and on spreading the culture of Open Innovation for the benefit of the production system.

Among the novelties is an enhanced Main Channel, “Civico 30” (sponsored by Ferrovie dello Stato), live throughout the event with talks and special guests in a lounge area furnished by Mediterranea, a startup that produces eco-friendly furniture with 3D printing using recycled plastic. The fair also extends into the spaces of the Istituto Superiore Antincendi (ISA) thanks to collaboration with the Fire Brigade. Eni confirms itself as main partner for the twelfth year: at the Gazometro, visitors will be able to explore “The Energy Brain,” an interactive experience showcasing research into the energy transition.

Where: Gazometro Ostiense (with extension at ISA).
When: October 17–19, 2025.
Tickets: exclusively online at the official website.
