November 19 and 20 sees the return of “Durello and friends“, the event dedicated to the bubbles born in the Lessini Mountains, between Verona and Vicenza, which this year will take place in the spaces of Galleria Filippini in Verona. Celebrating the event’s 21st birthday, there will be more than twenty member companies of the Lessini Durello Consortium that will offer tastings of their best interpretations of Lessini Durello both Classic Method and Charmat Method. Alongside the “local” bubbles, “friends,” which for this year’s edition will be the sparkling wines, Metodo Classico Corpinnat, the group exhibition brand born in the historic Catalan region of Penedès, will also be offered for tasting. The bubbles being tasted will be accompanied by samplings inspired by seasonality and traditional flavors.
For the audience of experts and enthusiasts who are following the evolution of Lessini Durello with growing interest, two masterclasses have been conceived. The first, led by Massimo Zardo, will compare the Metodo Classico of the Lessini Mountains with Corpinnat wines, while the second, “Lessini Durello: the Metodo Classico sparkling wine of today and tomorrow,” led by Nicola Frasson, will focus on the aging capacity of Lessini Durello. Underlining the importance that the Consortium has always paid to the dissemination of Doc values, the “Durello Journalist,” “Durello Ambassador” and “Durello Restaurateur” awards return, to be awarded on Sunday, November 19.
